When did men become so boring?

And who said the perfect man is that who is a workaholic, never smokes, drinks, go to parties, bars or clubs?
Perfect for what, exactly???
To kill me of boredom, yeah, very likely, but I don't see much more there.
I don't mean to offend men like that, or women who love this kind of guys, for that matter, there are just people who really are looking for that, and it works for them, so that's fine, just, please, stay away from me.
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but you're not the dream of EACH and EVERY single girl out there; stop believing when people tell you that over and over again. And, what is more, if a girl is still single at this age, chances are that she's, actually (yes, it does happen), enjoying it and found out she doesn't want to spend her life with a piece of furniture.
Face it: We girls do like to party too.
Oh, and if you're a man and are selling yourself with that image: Stop doing it. Unless, of course, you're a fan of yawning.
Now, on a personal note, I think this is also when true friendship comes in. What I mean is, those who pride themselves on being my friends should absolutely know I could never be with such a guy so, please, show some real friendship here and DON'T introduce me to men like that. Next time you meet a bloke like that, PLEASE, don't think of me. Thanks in advance.  =P
Over the last year I've had the misfortune of meeting blokes like these. Awkward first (and only) dates that ended up with both parties saying crappy lines like "We'll stay in touch. Nice meeting you", when it's completely obvious both are wishing never to hear about one another again.
Total waste of time, if you ask me.
And no, it's not that we don't like the "nice guy", I do like nice guys, they're not necessarily boring because, usually, they have flaws; there's more 'substance' there. No, this undesired perfection goes beyond bearable to me.
Bottom line: Unperfect is more fun. ;)

P.S. Although this goes without saying, please, feel free to comment. I decide what gets published anyway.

Genesis

Ashes to ashes? Dust to dust? If I were dust I'd be stardust.

I am.

So, I'll go back to where I came from. Not heaven. Not hell. But cosmos. Universe.

Stardust is made of light and dreams. Stardust can only be the ashes of love and eternity.

Funny how those are all words that somehow scare me, yet the same I want to believe in and live by.

We tend to fear what we want the most, don't we?

Maybe it's only a matter of learning how to live on both sides: fear and desire.

It's facing them what finally leads to dreams come true, light, love and eternity.

To stardust. To our very own beginning.

That's why I like to think of myself as stardust.

Would you like to join me? We will all be there. Ethereal.

Always.
